Google Brasil: Dá um Google

THE CAMPAIGN

There’s only one thing to do when you forget the name of that celebrity, or have that one lyric stuck in your head. Give it a Google. Dá um Google (which translates to 'give it a Google') indexes on Google’s unique ability to find what people need or can’t remember.

For just under three months I worked on the campaign from AKQA's Sāo Paulo office as a creative lead to concept, create and launch Google Brasil's biggest campaign to date.

two TV COMMERCIALS

The campaign included two TV spots; one for music – featuring pop group Fifth Harmony’s hit song Worth It and a cameo from Brazilian hip hop star Karol Konka. The football ad featured appearances from Brazilian footballers Marinho and Léo Moura — and a UGC take on the Running Man Challenge.  Both TVCs show multiple scenarios where Google is the best answer.

1,500 out of home spots

The creative concept for OOH was simple. Get people to take out their phones and give it a Google, right on the spot. We achieved this by placing intriguing search queries in over 1,500 spots around the country.

digital, social and influencers

The takeover didn't stop with OOH. Online, Dá um Google gathered steam through strategically placed responsive banners, a social campaign that included Brazil's biggest influencers (including John Drops, Thaynara OG and superstar Anitta), and even got featured on Fabio Porchat's chat show.
